OK, so the data’s getting a bit old now, but I still think this infographic about a Nation that Runs is interesting: Which statistic from a Nation that Runs did you find most interesting?

#GiveIt100

At the start of the year, I signed up for #GiveIt100 with the aim of focussing on healthy eating and making sensible food choices for 100 days. Unfortunately, I got thrown off track by some personal events and have struggled to get back on track again. I know a treat every now and again is part of a balanced life....

Sinking not swimming…

This year I need to focus on my swimming. A month of 2015 has gone by and I’ve really not achieved very much yet. If I’m going to complete the Scilly Swim Challenge, I’m going to need to start pushing myself soon. I have to be able to swim a mile in 40 mins (consistently), which is just under 25...

Stubbington 10k race recap

I’ve run Stubbington 3 times before, so I knew what to expect from this race. It’s held on a fairly flat course and being early in the year, the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Two years ago, it snowed during the race (which is unusual for this part of the UK). This year, the weather was fairly cool, but...

Hi, I'm Tamsyn!

Triathlete | Blogger | Running Coach & Fitness Instructor

As an overweight couch potato, I decided to turn my life around. I lost over 33lbs/15kg and now love keeping fit and healthy. In February 2013, I set myself a challenge to complete an iron-distance triathlon (2.4 mile/3.8k swim; 112 mile/180k bike; 26.2 mile/42.2k run).

Since starting my triathlon journey, I’ve:

  • learnt to swim and completed a 17.5km sea swim
  • bought my first road bike and cycled across Japan
  • run six marathons.
  • had a baby.

  • I’ve not completed an Ironman yet… but I’m getting there.
