It’s not Monday, but I don’t want to wait to share this

If you have seven minutes that you can spare, I urge you to watch One More Game about Lauren Hill.

It’s a humbling video that made me feel grateful for my health.

Lauren Hill at Hiram v Mount St Joseph
CINCINNATI, OH – NOVEMBER 02: Lauren Hill of Mount St. Joseph celebrates with her teammates after the game against Hiram at Cintas Center on November 2, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Hill, a freshman, has terminal cancer and this game was granted a special waiver by the NCAA to start the season early so she could play in a game. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

Further information about Lauren Hill

Lauren Hill was born in Indiana. Her battle with cancer became public when the NCAA agreed to rescheduling a team game to allow Hill to play. Mount St. Joseph played Hiram College two weeks prior to the original game date. The location of the game was also moved twice. The first time it was moved from Hiram’s Price Gymnasium to Mount St. Joseph’s 2000 seat Harrington Center. This was so that Hill would not have to travel the 300 mile journey from Cincinnati to Hiram. However, due to public interest in the game, it was later moved to the 10,250 seat Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University.

Hill raised US$1 million for paediatric cancer research with a Cincinnati telethon for The Cure Starts Now Foundation. The Foundation then donated over $1 million to brain cancer research.
