Monday Morning Motivation: Racing the Tide

Dylan Bowman looks out over the ocean

California’s Lost Coast trail may be one of the few in the country to actually disappear during high tide. That didn’t stop ultrarunner and Red Bull athlete Dylan Bowman from running the 55 miles from Usal Beach, the trail’s southern terminus, to Mattole Beach in just over 11 hours.

Locally, the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon has a shingle section that is under water at high tide. Have you ever run it?

I'd love to hear your thoughts...
