parkrun #250 – done!
As usual, I had a busy weekend, so there wasn’t much time to be able to update my blog, but I did manage to get a couple of runs in. I can also confirm that I completed parkrun #250 🙂
It was really nice to get home and receive the following email.
I immediately went to my profile to see whether I could claim my parkrun #250 t-shirt, but the link isn’t available yet. However, I’m optimistic that it won’t take too long. A number of friends were wearing their brand new 250 t-shirts at parkrun on Saturday. I am a little concerned about the sizing as all of the ladies looked like they were wearing quite close-fitting tops. I appreciate that the material has some stretch in it, but I much prefer loose fitting running tops, so I may have to get someone to let me try their top on to work out what size I need. It’s taken me 5 years to run my last 150 parkruns:
Recent parkruns
As I’ve not been blogging much recently, I’ve not written up my most recent parkruns. Here are the summaries:
I’m a long way off how I was running last year. I’m determined to change that… especially as the weather is getting better.
Training Peaks win
I also had an exciting email this week:
I’m not sure what my prize pack will include, but I managed to find this indicative information.
Decathlon 5k
On Sunday, Stuart, M and I took part in the Decathlon 5k. Unfortunately, my shoulders were stiff and aching (possibly because I spent all of Saturday afternoon gardening) and my asthma was playing up.
It was nice to take part in a local run that was much less congested than parkrun. However, although the paths were relatively clear, I struggled to get into a rhythm. I had hoped that M would run the last few hundred metres, but she fell asleep. Her participation was limited to riding in her buggy.
Good for you! Well done.
